Read The Settings Menu Before You Complain

Here's a habit worth building: before you decide a game is broken or annoying, open its settings. You'd be surprised how often the fix is already there, waiting.

Text too small? There's often a UI scale slider. Combat too fast? Some games let you slow input timing or turn on auto-battle for the boring parts. Screen too dark in a moody adventure? In-game brightness usually beats fighting with your system settings.

I've reviewed games that felt clumsy for the first ten minutes and completely different after I turned on fast animations or picked a better control layout. The default configuration is rarely the best one for any specific player.

This is also how I judge a game's care factor. A rich settings menu — accessibility options, control choices, performance toggles — tells me the developers thought about real people on real phones. It's one of the quiet things I always check now.
